Multi-State Psychological Services

Dr. Russel Thompson has been approved to authorization to practice psychology under the interstate psychology compact. He is now able to see clients remotely using his Texas license under this system. States currently participating include: Arizona, Colorado, Delaware, Georgia, Illinois, Missouri, Nebraska, Nevada, New Hampshire, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, and Utah. Virginia and North Carolina have passed legislation that goes into effect in early 2021.


Several states have pending legislation for 2021. They include Alabama, District of Columbia, Hawaii, Iowa, Kentucky, Michigan, Minnesota, New Jersey, Ohio, Rhode Island, Tennessee, Washington, and West Virginia.


In addition to the authorization for unlimited remote (video) practice, this system allows Dr. Thompson to work in person for up to 30 days a year in each of the authorized states.
